You Can't Chill Me

Deep in winter, with snow all around; the frost is heavy on the trees. Cold gray sky made of cold gray air; a frigid wind is blowing. But you can't chill me...

Not when I've got a flaming demon-cat standing right behind me!

Sango and Kirara survey the beautiful winter landscape... looking out for the those ever pesky snow demons, and keeping the winter safe for all those helpless holiday shoppers. Isn't that nice of them?

This is for 's winter contest... which is ending, like, tomorrow so... I finished this one just in time eh? I know Kirara looks a bit odd, which sucks, but I didn't have the time nor the energy to perfect her pose, having spent much of that of Sango. Also, I was not able to show as much of the bg as I would have liked, do to lack of canvas space. ;_; However, I am very happy with how the textures of Sango's armor came out; I had one of the comic books in front of me as I worked, and took it directly from the cover picture. I know it's very different from what has been popularized in the anime, but I think this looks cooler.

Pen and ink and watercolor on this weird paper-board stuff that is totally cool and un-wrinkly. Sango and Kirara are from the Manga/Anime of Inu-Yasha and © to Rumiko Takahashi, Viz comics, etc. Art © to me. ^^
