This is the third in a series of pen sketches I did of my Death and Cat characters from this story. I did one a day for about a week, and I'll be bringing the originals to the WFC art show next month.

Actually I just thought about this, but does this have anything to do with the myth about the shoe-maker who makes a deal with death, and has a cat who made a deal with him for the price that it would protect all his belongings? Not sure if I'm remembering the myth right but this reminded me of it anyway...
