The Two Demons

So, it's the Sword Demon meets the Dog Demon...

One of my crazier ideas, it was so funny I had to draw it. Of course, it's only really funny if you've played Fire Emblem 7 and watched/read Inu-yasha, since I realize not all of you here conform to these standards, I'll try and explain.

On the top is Karel, the Sword Demon, from Fire Emblem 7. Character wise he's this crazy swordmaster who goes around killing things... and he's got this snooty way of turnign people down by saying; "You are to weak" "You are not worthy of my blade" etc. etc. But the one thing he really wants is to find worthy opponents... and kill them. So yeah.. he's kinda psychotic that way... I love the little bugger.

ANYWAY: Well, obviously he'd recognize the one and only Sesshoumaru-sama, the feared Inu-Youkai demon lord, one armed or no, he's still got Tokijin, AND his poison claws, AND his demonic whip thingy. In the story of Inu-Yasha, Sesshoumaru is one of the most powerful demons, has nearly killed Inu-Yasha on several occasions... and would have if the writers hadn't stopped him. >.< Sesshoumaru is arguably the coolest character in the entire series, and definitely one of the most kick-butt. (And this is in the same story as Sango, so that's saying something.) The thing about Sesshoumaru (or Fluffy, as I call him) is that he pretty much despises mortals, and humans in general, so it's not like he'd be particularly honored to be challenged by the Sword Demon...

Anyway, the last line says it all: "5 seconds later, chaos ensued." I'd imagine that to be a pretty accurate prediction of a Karel vs. Fluffy battle, as they are pretty evenly matched, story and character wise, although were Sesshoumaru transfered to the Fire Emblem world he would probably kick Karel's sorry bottom from Bern to Nabata. Sorry Karel... but you ARE a mortal human after all.

Drawing this was a lot of fun. The black bg was done with permanent marker, and the characters inked, then colored with prismacolor pencils. I am particularly pleased with how Karel's hair came out, and the new technique I developed for Sesshoumaru's fluffy boa thingy. I really like the way draws Sesshy's fluff, and was trying to find something along those lines... only with my own personal twist, of course.
