If occurs to me some people might be confused as to why he's appearing as a human here. What I didn't have room to explicitly explain the comic is this: that before his "default state" was a human, and he could transform himself into a dragon through magic. Well, that human life died, and his dragon life took over. Now his "default" state is a dragon, but he can still magically turn himself into a human—although he could also turn himself into all sorts of other things, if he wanted.
